I'll give you an example. The sum from 1-100 consecutively. Keep in mind that 1+100=101 and 2+99=101, etc. That pattern goes on to 50+51. Therefore the answer is 101 times 50 = 5050. You multiply by 50 because you're adding 2 of the terms at a time for a total of 101 terms. |
