If tan theta = -3/4 and sin theta > 0, find:

a. sec theta
b. cos theta
c. sin theta
d. csc theta
e. cot theta

tan(theta) < 0 and sin(theta) > 0, so theta is in the second quadrant.
Only sine and cosecant are positive.

If you draw the triangle and use the pythagorean theorem, you will see that the hypotenuse is 5.
The opposite side of theta is 3, and the adjacent side is 4.

You should be able to find the other trig functions with this info.

Remember,
sec(theta) = hyp/adj
cos(theta) = adj/hyp
sin(theta) = opp/hyp
csc(theta) = hyp/opp
cot(theta) = adj/opp
