| homework help please? a rod of mass 6 kg and length 3 m has its centre of mass 1.2 m from A, it is suspended horizontally from the cieling by two vertical strings one attached at A, and the other at C, where AC is 2.5 m, magnitude of tentions in the strings is? show working      |

| Because the centre of mass is at A then this string carry's ALL of the mass so that string is under vertical tension = mg=about 60 N(depends how accurately you read g(9.8 is closer than 10.THe other string carries no load whatsoever. |
