Accounting Homework Help!!!!?

I need help with journaling the following statements....
1. advertising bills of $2400 previously overlooked are recorded (using accs payable)
2. Dividends of $1100 are declared not payed

where should these be debted/credited!!!!...im drawing a blank please help
