thinking of starting a homework club for kids who need a little extra help...?

i know of a couple of kids who are struggling to concentrate on homework and are falling behind a little in school, was thinking that maybe a saturday one on one session might give them a boost, as i know teachers can't really focus on one child for too long during the day. I'm talking about kids under 12. does anyone think they'd find this useful? i'd like to hear parents views before i start anything. thanks!
