( Algebra 1 math) ok the teacher just gave this homwork out without even teaching it (well there wuz a sub today) anywayz i have no idea how to do it!! plzz. help! im horrible in math! thnxs!( im sure 4 sum of u this iz easy! lol)

2. What precent of 72 is 18?

for the first one:
Divide 28 by for
(28 is 100% of 28, so since 25% is 1/4 of 100%, you get 1/4 of 28.)
(answer is 7)

25%= 0.25

of X (as in multiplication, aka times)

what=X (as in variable)

is= =(equal sign)

so, 25% (0.25) of (times) what (X) is (=) 28
.25 times X=28
.25x=28...divide .25 on both sides to isolate x
