Help with my Homework! Botany or biology people please!?

My assignment is confussing: For this assignment, you will classify the following phyla into 5 kindoms (groups) based on their shared characteristics. You do not need to use the classification system used in your book (if you did, you would have only four kindoms); instead, define your own kindoms based on the characteristics each of the following phyla possesses. What characteristics define your groups (i.e. what characteristics are shared by each of the phyla in your kindoms)?
