ssullivan817 has a spectacular aura about
is = %
____ _____
of 100

Ive used this for the longest time and it always works

so:

39 150%
____ X _____ =
x 100

39x100=3900
Xx150%=150X

3900/150X= 26

There for x is 26

same for the second question

19 X 95%
___ ____
x 100

1900/95x= 20

x=20

If you always use this you will always get it right
Hope this helped

this doesn't take geniusness, ha ha
see, the thing with word problems is you have to convert them in to simple math. the word is means =, and the word 'of' means *, and 'what number' means the unknown variable
so to convert and solve number 10)
39=150% *x
39=1.5x---in this step i made the percent into a decimal, and multiplied that times x
26=x------in this step i divided 39 by 1.5

you should be able to solve the other one yourself
