Erica W has a spectacular aura about
MRSA and Mercer, infectious disease?

I got a phone call and was told that my uncle has "Mercer" (this is what it sounded like over the phone). I'm trying to look up info about Mercer and Im not getting much online... but when I search "Mercer", I get info about MRSA (basically staph infection).. are these two the same? Mercer vs. "mersa"? Anyone have any clue???

Isabella has a spectacular aura about
It's MRSA..Highly contagious !
It's a super germ, resistant to almost all anti-biotics with the exception of 2. They usually do a culture to determine what It will respond to. Putting it in simple terms.
Universal precautions /Isolation are always in order when treating someone with MRSA.
When it comes to being treated for anything I'll take my Pharmacist advise over the Doctor any day !
A Pharmacist goes through continual training and constant updating of ALL medicines available. They're really up on their stuff ! No offense Docs. But most have such a patient loads it's hard to stay on top of the adverse effects of most drugs, and the Pharmacist has a record of all your meds and will tell you if anything will cause a reaction to any maintenance drugs. There are a few good Docs that will take the time to look at the whole picture.
