The stats I saw last weekend showed the Sens were the third worst team in the league since Christmas. The Bruins right now are playing better as a team. And every so often Tim Thomas stands on his head and stops everything. With a playoff spot on the line and the Sens short some talent, I think the Bruins can kick some Senator butt this evening.

I hope Thomas has a repeat performance because it will clinch at least 5th place for my Rangers.

I am a Bruins fan too, and I hope they win to get the edge for the playoffs, but I am not sure if they have the edge. Even though the Sens have some big injuries, the Bruins aren't exactly the healtiest team either. Alberts coming back should help, but he will probably see limited ice time. Savard too will be tentative on the ice, I didnt even know he was playing. Plus, with Bergeron now not available for the playoffs the B's are looking like they are going to make a round one departure. They need to lose Fernandez's huge contract and sign a big time scorer. Bergeron and Savard are excellent set up men, but you aren't going to win anything when Sturm and Kobasew are your top scorers. That is no hit against them, but if you look at all the great teams in the league right now, they all have one thing in common, they have at least one goal scorer they can look to to score the big goal when they need it. The Bruins have alot of young talent, if they can sign a big name scorer they should be set for next year. Hopefully Rask will be their franchise goalie after Thomas too, because I hate watching the Bruins trade for terrible guys like Fernandez, that was the dumbest trade since the Boyes trade which was the dumbest trade since the Thornton trade.
