Buffalo has a spectacular aura about
What is the most traumatic physical injury you have ever incured ?

I don't really know why I am thinking about this, I guess my ankle hurts today. I was pruning my Yucca tree one day, and I had to borrow a ladder from a neighbor, mine wasn't tall enough. I was 5 minutes from being done when I slipped. I fell, on the lawn, as opposed to the pavement. It kind of knocked the wind out of me, but I seemed OK. Until I tried to stand up. I was wondering what that cracking sound was. It was my ankle which got caught in between the rungs of the ladder, and shattered, into about six pieces. I sat down and had a look at it, and it was pointing in the wrong direction. Amazingly enough, there was very little pain, at first. I made it to the hospital, and they threw a cast on it, and sent me home for ten days. It was just too swollen to do surgurey on. Thank god for Lisa, and my mom. I would not have been able to feed myself.
Finaly, they fixed it with eight hours of surgery. My left ankle is held together by pins and screws and plates. What about you ?
I severed two tendons in my right hand too. They fixed, then I popped the repair, they had to do it again. The surgeon was so mad at me. "Twenty years I've been doing this, he said, I've never had anyone break one !" I did. Oops, sorry.
He was pissed.
