Hamstring injury?

About two days ago I was warming up for rugby, and while runnining I felt a pop in my hamstring. I wasn't able to run, but I could still walk, though it hurt somewhat. Now 2 days later it feels a lot better, I can walk normally there's still a little pain. And as of yet I haven't seen a bruise. I couldn't extend my knee all the way at first, but now it's starting to return to normal too. I work and go to school so I haven't been able to rest it, but I have had it compressed and all. The thing is I heard that if I heard a pop it's serious, I felt the pop but I don't think I heard it. Is that semantics or what? NE way with the symptoms I've laid out does it sound worse, I know go to a doctor, but I don't want to right now.
