Whats the nastiest hockey-related injury youve ever gotten/seen?

In lue of Reich's nasty hit on Weber earlier today, I was thinking, whats the nastiest injury you've recieved/dished out? I was pretty sure Weber was either going to get a concussion or a broken neck or something nasty out of that, luckily he didnt.

gotten = 7 stiches over the eye in scrimmage on a Friday night. came back Saturday morning at the optional skate.

gotten and not hockey-related : i don't remember how many stitches it resulted in but in jr high I played a lot of football without pads, or even a helmet. on a kick return i slammed right into someone twice my size. wanted to go back to school after getting stiched up but mum would have nothing of it, especially since this was in springtime and i had a military style crew-cut at the time. went back to school the next day as if nothing had happened.

honourary mention goes to when i got my wisdom teeth yanked out without anestesia a couple years ago. yet again, i was back at work the next day.

seen = didn't see it live, but Borje Salming's face getting cut up years ago was pretty bad. I agree that Malarchuk and Zednik and their neck injuries were pretty bad though ..

The worst i ever saw was inflicted on my pal Kris Draper of the Red Wings, but Claude Lemiuex of the bastardly Avs. He was hit from behind into the door on the bench,, he needed facial reconstruction, and was bleeding all over the ice, they covered his face with a towel, and skaeted him off.
