Leg Injury!!??

So I think I broke my leg!! What I did was crash into a huge piece of wood while playing basketball and running at top speed! So how can I tell if it's broken, but don't say the doctor because I know that. Also I have sores and a bad taste in my mouth. ( all of these symptoms came after crashing into the wood.
Well My foot is more like a sprain I guess. But it hurts like crap!! I fell tired and my foot is aching though.

Can you walk?
if you can walk pretty noramally im guessing it isnt broken.
if you are in intense pain and cant walk etc.
i would suggest going to the hospital
