Danielle has a spectacular aura about
Shoulder injury?

I am on the softball team at my school, and I recently injured my shoulder. My shoulder hurts the most when I lift it up and pull it inward. It is also very painful when I pull my arm up towards the sky. I am a pitcher, so I think it may be from that.
I'm worried that this is a rotator cuff injury, and I know that those take a long time to heal.
I am 13 years old and healthy, so I believe that it will probably take less time to heal for me. How long do you think I should stay off of it?
Thanks so much!

I am no doctor, but I would suggest getting that looked at. I am 15 and play 5 different sports and i have suffered my share of injuries. I never went to the doctor when i got hurt so i never knew for sure what was wrong or what to do about it. Don't keep playing through the pain because it will only hurt you in the long run. I regret not going the doctor a few times. I would suggest you get it checked out. Oh and if the doctor tells you to not play for a certain amount of time, listen to them! They know what they are talking about. I have re-injured myself countless times because I went back to playing too soon. Good luck and I hope all goes well.
