hands hurt, not an injury - what could this be? please help.?

Fatigue and pain in my hands, what could this be? Please help.?
I have been very tired recently, not due to lack of sleep. It comes over me in waves, I can hardly keep my eyes open when it happens (couple of times a day), and also I have a horrid aching pain in my hands which comes and goes too. It really hurts. It doesn't feel like muscle pain though. It is sharper. It sarts with aches then a shooting pain. They look a little swollen too.

Er...it says fatigue AND pain in the hands, not fatigue of the hands.

There is no such thing as "fatigue" of the hands. Not sure what that means.

Common causes of hand pain could be arthritis or a carpal tunnel syndrome. Sounds more like an arthritis if there is swelling. I'm not sure how old you are nor your history, so it's just a guess.

I would try an anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen) if no allergies. If the problem persists, you can always go into the clinic.
