| Knee Injury?!? Okay, I hurt my knee at track practice the other day, and I'm going to tell you what happened so you might be able to tell me what's wrong. I was pole vaulting and my coach kept telling me that I needed to reach higher on my pole so that I could get over the bar. The problem is, if you go too high on the pole, then you have the possibility of stalling in the air and falling backwards. That's what I did. I landed on my knee and thigh a funny way and they both hurt really badly after practice. It was a Friday so I just rested. Today, I had my meet and I ran a 100m and a 200m. My knee hurts pretty bad right now, I can still walk but it really slowed me down. What should I do? I don't want to be out for the next meet, but I don't want my knee to hurt and add 6 seconds onto my time. Please help! It doesn't hurt all the time, just after I run or vault. Does that make a difference? Lindsay, lol ScubaSteve told me to. |
