civil litigation-injury?

I am sueing civilly a person who assaulted me and caused me to have large medical bills. I represented myself during a mandory arbitration hearing. Even though he had a lawyer and i didn't, i still won an award (though smaller than i claimed). Now the paper says i have to show up in court on a date in june. What will happen on that date?
And by the way, do you know how can i find a lawyer who can take my case? All of them seem to be turned off by the fact that the defendant has no insurance and don't know if he can pay?
