Hockey injury...when can i play again...have you had this?

[STATE OF HOCKEY BABY!]

I tore my hip flexer in hockey....didnt even know i had one!
Has these ever happended to you?
i can walk and stand but i limp and am i pain.
I have spring season playoffs next week is there anything that i could do to make it get better faster?
The only time i am ok is when i take my muscle relaxers but that makes me loopy and i cant play when i am like that...
Help any info helps!
no i haven't tried yet but the doc says i should be on crutches for 10 days to 3 weeks...but i can kinda walk so i dont use them anymore...I WANNA PLAY!

Yea i actually tore mine the last game of state in hockey this year - i went into the spliz and got sat on!

Honeslty you just have to let it heal! I was on crutches for a few days and then i slowly started walking, then running and then playing again. It took me about a month to fully recover! I recomend you dont push it - if you do play, good luck cause im the type of player who doesnt sit out and it hurt so bad that i cried every time!

All you can do is ice, rest and if your gonna play wrap it!

Have you tried to skate? there has been times I went to the rink on crutches but could still skate.
