Anyone had this type of injury or experience with orthopedics?

I have a tibial plafond and distal fibular fracture with the bones crushed. My doctor fixed it with plates and screws. What is my long term out come. I am so scared that I will need ankle fushion. Had anyone had a bad break like this and been okay. The doctor said 4 larger peices and a punch of smaller pieces. Please help me I am so scared. Please pray for me.
