xray- no fracture...soft tissue injury...help?

i fell over on friday and badly hurt my wrist, so i went to the doctor, got an xray and she said there was nothing...she still think it might be a little crack because sometimes it doesn't show...(it's tuesday) so she sid its a soft tissue injury..the thing is i have had many soft tissues before and i don't think it is.
my symptoms
- tenderness in speific area
-swelling- not a trenmendus amount
-not alot of bruising
-my wrist cracks when i move it around
- sore when i move in a specific way

can you please tell me what the symptoms of a soft tissue injury and a fracture.
