Olivia W has a spectacular aura about
Hamstring injury the end of the road?

During high school I danced 5x per week. I'm now a freshmen in college after choosing to forgo joining a company and only danced 2x per week (in an informal setting) first semester bc that was all my school offered. I had gone to the gym and stretched a little during first semester. 2 weeks ago I started taking ballet classes off campus. Anyway, I felt a sharp pain when trying to do a split. A day later I noticed bruising in the inner thigh. There was no pain, just slightly uncomfortable. Monday I went to dance class after not dancing since that other day. I was stretching slightly and heard a pop. I found bruising a little after. The doc said I tore my hamstring. Do you think it's serious? I'm not in any pain unless I try to stretch that area. I've heard hamstring injuries are serious. Now that I have to take more time off dancing, I feel like this is the end of my dancing career. I'm very discouraged. Does anyone have any advice or any inspirational story about a similar situation?
