YAO MING: what's your feelings about his sports injury? and possibly not

being able to attend Olympics? Was just watching the evening news, and saw the segment about Yao Ming's ankle injury.

What are your thoughts or feelings, about him and his participation in the forth-coming olympics?

Are you a particular fan of his? What do you think the possible political ramifications for this country would be, if any, should he not be able to participate in the olympics?

Phil M has a spectacular aura about
I think it couldn't of happened to a nicer, more loyal and seemingly caring individual. He is one of the 'good guys' in sports. He is more worried about letting his teammates and country down than he is with his personal pain and discomfort. A true gentleman.

I think its a bad situation for him to be in though, I am not a fan of China as a country, but I do respect their values and laws when it pertains to their citizens and their nation. He is their biggest sporting icon and he is not going to be 100% for the olympics.

There will not be any ramifications in this country, he would be playing on the Chinese National team. I dont think they are serious contenders for anything other than 'honorable mention' in the olympic games. But I could be wrong.

I feel shocked. Houston is probably not gonna make it to the second round, and Yao Ming might not be healthy for the Olympics, which will be a huge blow for China.

1. He's injured & won't play for the rest of the season.
2. Why does in matter whether he can compete in the Olympics or not?

It sucks about the olympics. But all I have to say is that the Rockets are done now.

Don't care about his ankle injury. He gets paid enough that he can worry about it all by himself

Professional athletes should not be allowed to play in the Olympics. I find nothing entertaining about any "Dream Team" that overpowers a non-professional team just to help us rack up the gold score.
