***35*** has a spectacular aura about
head injury?

Head trauma / CT neg.?
Mid. Jan. i was hit with a very hard force from a student, He is severly impaired, bangs his head, etc. He was fine and then he with all of his force slammed his head against mine. It went black for a few sec. it took me a few minutes to realize what happened. I got a little bump on the side of my head, a good bruise to the bone behind my ear. I thought i was ok, weeks later i began dizziness, off balance, forgetting what i am saying mid sentence, very tired, etc. so they sent me for x-rays and a Ct scan. ( came back neg. for subdural hematoma ) i am off days ( awop ) still do not feel right, can something still be wrong, even though test show neg.

also, i am messing up words, today i said Tuesbay, instead of Tuesday. This happens a few times a week now.

Could all this be related to the head / ear injury or maybe i'm just crazy?????

please help with any answers or suggestions!

Thurs. everything looked ok on CT, but he re- examined me and my balance is off. Now they are sending me to a neurologist ( Mon ) guess i will see what they have to say. Also they gave me meclizine ( spelling ? ) for the dizziness, but it makes me so tired!
I have another question on here posted, but i have a new question referring to situation. Head injury back in MID. Jan, testing now shows neg. on CT scan, but test he did in office show my balane is off. They are sending me to a Neurologist Monday for a exam / test. What kind of test will they most likely perform and will they give me results that day or will i have to wait again?

Uncovering what is going on will likely take a little time. Seeing a neurologist is the right next step. Clearly things are not right for you, & this is the road to finding out the problem & coming up with a treatment...

Likely the neurologist will evaluate you and then order tests to be done at a later, scheduled date. It's possible he'll have the equipment right there in office but likely you'll have to set up another appt for whatever tests he wants to run.
Was anything done to the kid that did this to you? Even if he's impaired someone needs to determine if he's safe to be around the general population of students or if he should be monitored at all times. I'm so sorry this happened to you!

What you're seeing with the ecchymosis, bruising, behind the ears is called Battle's sign. It can be the sign of skull fracture at the base of the back of the skull. Also it can point to an underlying brain trauma.

Have your doctor look for a basilar skull fracture.
