| I got hurt on the job today that was no fault of my own..what type of injury would it take to sue the company? I work in a furniture warehouse and I had just given a customer their mechandise, I asked one of my coworkers to open the overhead door. When he did, he pulled it up to hard and the mechanism broke and the door fell and hit me in the back of my head and on the back of my neck rendering me with a concussion. When my manager wrote up the accident report he didn't put in that my coworker had been at fault. It stated that I had walked into the overhead door and hit my head. Now, months before all of this the warehouse manager had told me that if I had gotten into one more accident that he would fire me. So now I am afraid that due to what the accident report states, I will be left with no job. I want to know if there is a way I could sue this company for say....something like neglegent employees? Or something along that line. Now mind you there are cameras all over that place and I had like two or three witnesses! Thank You For Your Time In Reading This |

| Hopefully you did not sign this accident report. If you did, you fucked yourself. Their workmans comp insurance is required to cover any and all medical care you need (and I guarantee you need it after a blow to your cervical spine) If you signed the report you've agreed that it was not their fault and basically that waives them all responsibility. They can't fire you for getting injured at work unless you are doing so intentionally and then they'd have to prove it. |
