Knee injury?

i have knee injury, articular caritage is gone soft. it was 9 month back i got injury in my left knee during exercise. And 6 months back i gone for Arthrosopy. After that i knew that i have articular cartilage injury, some part of cartilage is gone soften.

Doctor said it on the top of the bone , when i stand for long time its painful, its painful & little sound is come when i bend on my leg. and my left leg is weak compare to right leg , i am not professional sportman.

i am doing streathing exercise regularly. but its 6 month gone . i am not recover its. yaah pain is less but not fully recover.

tell me ur view , physio therapy is better for healing the cartilage, it will be fully recover or not.
