| Husband's embarrassed after injury.?
My husband retired from the military last November after 21 years in the Army.In Feb '06 he was injured in Fallujah when an ied hit his convoy. He lost his left leg about 4 inches above the ankle and shatterred his other leg and broke both his hips. His back and stomach was also burned really bad.He spent over a year in hospitals and rehab centers and was finally allowed to come home to me.Since he came home he is so self conscious,he won't undress in front of me and locks the doors whenever he showers. When we are intimate all the lights have to be out.I know he still loves me,every night in bed with the lights out we still talk and hold each other like we used to.He is still a great husband and father to our girls, but I can tell he feels so bad about himself. The V.A. gave him some medication (zoloft and celexa) but he says he can't think straight while taking them.I tell im all the time to me he's perfect. What can I do to help him?
