Hip Injury?

In track we ran three 200's and one 400. During the 200s I started noticing a mild pain in my hip. I didn't pay attention to it. On the 400 I sprinted to the finish line and pretty much dropped to the ground. I got up and I couldn't walk. I was limping around and every time I put pressure on that leg it would fail on me. It is now a week later, and my hip feels alright. I used to have problems going up hills and stairs and walking, but eventually I got to the point where I could do all those things. Now the only problem is I can't run. Any suggestions? I don't want to miss all of my track practices. And I really don't want to go to the doctor. Ever had this happen?

Sorry to say, but you are eventually going to have to go to the doctor to get it checked out whether you like it or not. Only they can give you a definitive diagnosis.
