How to Get Past Head Injury?

3 years ago I got hit several times in the head with a baseball bat. (It was bad; I couldn't remember what happened for a month and had people asking me why my forehead was all banged up. I just told them I fell down.)

I know it's too late to have a doctor look at it, but is there anything I can do to improve my memory? I have very selective short-term memory, and usually only remember things if I write them down or somebody reminds me. My long-term memory is alrite; sort-of. (I remember xmas, but I wont remember a joke told to me last week.)

It also takes me a really long time to do things that should only take a few minutes. People think I'm special-needs because I act weird. I have a really bad stutter and spend most of my time alone so I don't feel embarassed. Friends and family say I've changed.

It's not all-bad; ever since this happened, I need less sleep, I have more focus, and I can only feel pain if it's extreme. I'm actually on honor roll and I used to be D-Student.
