in florida what is considered serious bodily injury?

Where you in an accident? Serious bodily injury is one which involves a substantial risk of death, extreme physical pain, protracted and obvious disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ or mental faculty. Hope everything is ok.

The term is defined in several places in Florida statutes, but always as the following: "[A] physical condition that creates a substantial risk of death, serious personal disfigurement, or protracted loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ."
