It all depends on the nature and extent of your injuries, treatment, expenses, permanent scarring, disability.

It's hard to answer your question given that I don't know the extent of your disfigurement and I haven't seen your medical records, lost wages, loss of consortium claim, etc. You need to consult with a personal injury attorney and see if you can file a product liability claim and perhaps against your employer. There are so many variables.

Cookie Monster. You are brainwashed and prejudiced. You admit you don't have enough facts to judge but you do it anyway. People who are injured by the negligence of another are entitled to legal damages, i.e., damages that the legislature and courts have ruled to be due to injured people. Are you saying that our law is deficient whenever it awards an amount to anyone? This is a Republican line and it denigrates every person who is seriously injured. Why don't you want corporations and insurance companies to be responsible for the injuries and death they cause to consumers. You Republicans claim to walk the moral high ground when you're nothing but greedy hate mongers bent on ruining the middle class.

Personally, I dont like people who try to profit from bad things that happen to them. Is that what your bills came to or are you trying to take them for everything you can? Sorry about your injury, but sounds like you are greedy

EDIT: Larry - Where in my answer have I said the company should not pay for damages? The person asked a question and wanted an opinion with the facts given. That is all. And as long as we are talking about passing judgement when you dont have a clue, how is it that you feel you can call me brainwashed and prejudiced and an immoral greedy hate mongering republican? You are a joke.

Flattery - I hear what you are saying and I see your point. THe way this question was worded made me think of the woman who spilled hot coffee on herself and was awrded millions of dollars from McDonalds. I think there is reasonable and then there is over-the-top greed and unfortunately, there are lots of people out there looking for a windfall at the expense of others.

A bigger question is why haven't you asked your attorney instead of a bunch of total strangers over the internet? If you don't have one, I can PROMISE you that you won't get ANYTHING.
