other than throat slices what's the worst injury you've seen in hockey?

a guy on my schools varsity hockey team took a skate to the spine and almost became paralyzed but he's determined to play pro hockey and its been a year since the accident so i wish him good luck!
how bout you what's the worst injury you've seen excluding things such as zedniks throat

The worst looking was Mark Howe impalling himself on the old style net. Lucky it wasn't worse then it was.

Fingers cut off by skates

Someone's finger get cut off when they lost their glove in a pile up. The guys hand got ran over by someone's skate and completely severed part of his finger.

Happened at our local ice rink in Cincinnati.

Ohh wow well i know someone who got there wrist slit in hockey it was disturbing and the ione that happened to the guy on the bruins (love the bruins but forget that guys name)

I actually had my wrist skated over, it bled like crazy, it was 8 years ago and I still have a nasty scar.
