Can "pimple popping" be a form of self-injury?

I think I have a problem... trying to get puss or ingrown hairs out of my body I've taken scissors to my face, arms, and legs kind of in a trance and now I'm just a gross bloody mess.

What is it?
The thing is that I can't stop and I'm sort of obsessed.... I watch videos of pimple popping and stuff and I can't even stop now.

It's a stress habit.
and it's not really about my appearance honestly. I don't know what it is.
