Minor Car Accident, Lady trying to sue for medical injuries.?

I was an accident about a month ago. It was raining and I was driving. I just turned off the highway onto a main road. I was going about 50-60 MPH and I realized there were two cars stalled at a green light. I started to slow down to a stop, but because of the rain I skidded forward until I finally hit the car in front of me. She went a little forward but not forward enough to hit the other car.

We pulled over, and the damage was minor. There was just transfer of paint, and my license plate was bent. She called the cops, and I got a ticket for failure to control speed. We exchanged information, and she claimed it on her insurance.

I recieved a call yesterday saying that she's trying to claim $4000 in medical injuries. The insurance company said they're going to offer her something smaller because they don't think the wreck caused her injury. They said they'll offer her money so she can't sue me. I don't see how she could sue me. I'm a 19 year old college kid with no money...

It really doesn't matter if you have money or not. She can sue you for the damages. It is likely your insurance company will settle on you behalf, so you have nothing to worry about personally (outside of increased insurance premiums)
