Is it bad to call in sick/personal injury before my 90 day probation is up at work?

I've worked for Walmart for over 2 weeks now but with all the crappy weather I recently ended up falling outside my house and doing a pretty good job of spraining my ankle. I went to work the day after and did tell my one manager what happened and asked for a somewhat lighter load tonight. Everything went well and I finished my work on time, but then at the end of my shift my ankle/foot hurt so much I had to go to Urgent Care to have it examined; of which they said I needed to stay off of it for 2 full days and they gave me a note for work. When I called in the first day I had no problems but then the 2nd day one manager I never work with said to me directly on the phone "we'll have to talk about your employment". So far I have done all the work asked to do to the best of my ability and I am doing everything I can to improve even. I'm just really scared now that I'm going to lose my job over an injury that could have gotten much worse if I kept lifting heavy loads like I was.

No, of course it is not good to call in sick during a probationary period.

But...it seems you have a very ligit reason. Your health is more important than anything Wal-Mart might pay you.

If you don't take care of your health and do permanent damage to yourself.... then what kind of job coult you find.

If they can't understand your situation...then you don't want to work for them.
