| teen car insurance?
My twin sister and I are turning sixteen next week, and we passed our road skills tests yesterday. So now all we have to do is go to the Secretary of State's (in Michigan) and get our licenses. Except do we need insurance to drive? So how much does it cost, for two especially, and is it better to be on your parent's plan or your own? We are both straight-A students, and we live on dirt roads, 7.4 miles away from school...I'm not sure if we're even getting a car, but if we were, it would be some SUV. If someone has any help?

If you want to save money on your insurance, it is probrally cheaper to go on your parents insurance plan as a secondary driver on one of their cars. You will still have a higher rate because you are new drivers but it will be half as much than if you do it on your own.
