My boyfriend got pulled and his insurance was lapsed but his license was...

...not revocked how much cost in NC.? it was in NC any fees both DMV and court would be great help from anyone in nc. and also if he just wants to pull this car off the road and not reinsur it or drive it ?? They already took his plate but he has another car that is insured. any info would be helpful
