accident not at fault but didn't have insurance on that car.. ???

i have a friend that had an accident in tx not at fault she states no police report. other person does have insurance gives my friend all the information she files a claim against her they deny it because the other person said that it was not her fault.. other person had full coverage they fix her car and now they are telling my friend that she needs to pay around 2500 for damages to the other persons vehicle ... or they could suspend her license she didn't have insurance on that vehicle because she was driving her dad's car... so what are her options .....

first thing you have to find out is if she has insurance on a vehicle that she owns? or maybe she is on someone elses insurance plan, if she has no insurance at all then she is going to be in trouble for driving without it, also find out if her dad knew that he didn't have insurance and if she lives at home, it could come back and bite him in the but also, I have been in this persons shoes, it is not fun, I did however luck out because I was on someone elses insurance plan. hope this helps, good luck.
