how do i make the page smaller in internet explorer 7 ?

I formatted my pc which is dell dimension 2400 an i have xp pro on it now and internet explorer 7 as the web browser.The problem is that when i open any web page on the internet explorer the font is too big and it shows the scroll bars to navigate through the page on every one..i tried to make the font smaller from the view menu and also tried to zoom out but thats not the solution i need to make it look like a normal size with keeping the zoom at 100% and the font at medium which is usually the default settings so the question is how can i make the page normal size when i open internet explorer and it shouldnt show the scroll bars

Try changing the pixels resolution of your monitor..
If it's related to your video chipset, then you may just have to re-flash it. I say this because it sounds like you downgraded from Vista to XP.
