My internet goes dead frequently throughout the day, is it the router?

Okay so this happens a lot, at least once per hour.
I'll just be surfing the web and at some random point everything will just stop loading. No webpages work or anything.. internet just goes dead. Sometimes it's even triggered like if I try to upload 5 or more pics to flickr, myspace etc simultaneously. To fix it I unplug the power on the wireless router for 10 seconds and plug it back in. After a few moments it'll work again. This has happened with different cable modems.

So is it time to get a new wireless router?
