can I get my ps3 connected to the internet if I don't have high speed on my computer?

I live in the country only have dial up on my computer. Can I get my ps3 online with a router? If it helps my computer is in the next room beside the ps3.

Well, you need a router to get online for the PS3. You can attach the ethernet cable to the back of the PS3 or not. Your PS3 should pick it up via wi-fi as long as it's not the 20GB model.

your ps3 dusnt need a pc or laptop to connect, only a modem, wireless or line.
