G Browns Labour Government never 'spend' money they 'invest' it - time to cash in?

I don't think I have ever got worse value for money than I have from the state in return for my taxes.

However as Brown/Blair and their cohort have never 'spent' any of the money but have cleverly 'invested' it (just listen to any speech they have made about where taxes go), I think I would now like them to cash in the investments and return my money with some of the interest/growth it has accumulated while invested.

Does that sound fair?

Very fair PP but don't plan that holiday yet on the strength of your windfall, Gordon and his merry men have indeed invested our money, but these investments are long term about 80 years before they mature so unless you reach the ripe old age of about 95 or so you wont get nowt, they syphon off the interest to subsidises their meagre wages and allowances which they invest in short term easy access returns. ho hum

It sounds perfectly fair, but as we all know if you invest in crap it's damned difficult to get it back. This Government has 'invested' in bringing a whole raft of foreign people to this country many of whom have no intention of working or contributing anything positive. They have 'invested' in an army of penpushers and bureaucrasts (5 a day coordinators is an example) who we don't want or need. They have 'invested' in a benefits system that financially rewards the workshy and feckless. You try and cash that lot in!
