| This is the way I have made it for 50 yrs. Mix 2 eggs & small amt. of milk -dash of salt Place slices of of bread in the mixture flip so both sides are coated, but not soggy. have iron skillet getting hot and a small amt. of grease put coated slices of bread in hot grease brown both sides & enjoy top with anything you want I like butter and small amt of syrup I raised my kids on this no rocket science to it. |

| I would suggest just a couple of beaten eggs and maybe 1/2 cup milk, or half and half... dunk your bread and cook in a hot pan with melted butter. Sometimes I add a bit of OJ, or vanilla to make it a bit different. I always make more...they freeze great! Good luck! |

| Beat an egg Pour a glug of milk in it Mix egg and milk (If you like cinnamon, put some in your egg/milk mixture) Put bread in egg/milk mixture, cover both sides (best to use a deep plate for this. Just place the bread on the mixture, then pick it up and flip it over). Put in pan that has a little melted butter in it (so it won't stick) Cook until golden brown I like to use wheat bread, it gives it a little bit of a nutty taste. Add syrup and butter as desired.
