So basically, why are they called french fries? where did the french come from?

they decided to take a trip around SOME of the world .
theyre plane crashed and they got fried .
which is the fry part ....
they soon made their way to america !
where they could make millions and taste yummy :]

nothing....they jus call it french probably cuz its from french culture...i guess...it's still fries whether they call it french or not....all it is is fried potatoes chipped...

well they really did come from the french. they were cooking and had a pot of grease or lard back then and they accidenly droped a potatoe in the hot grease.and i guess thats how it happened. i seen that at a drivein movie commerical in the 70s.arent we lucky. i love fries..thanks to the french.
