Asking a girl out/ getting to know her?

I'm a sophomore highschool and I have a question. There is this girl I like and I want to get to know her. I'm not sure if this girl really knows who I am (I have been in the same class as her and was her partner a few times) I am TOTALLY not a stalker guy and I would feel terrible if I came off as one. So anyways...... would it be at all creepy to write her a note telling her that "I would like to get to know her better"? -- Not asking her out (kinda ;-)but trying to get to know her better so a relationship may possibly form.Thanks for your time---I really think a note is the way to go seeing as she is deaf and I do not know sign language. :-)She has seen me around school but i don't think she has ever really acknowledged my presence. Of course, I think writing a note be a good way to talk to a girl. How else would guy's talk to girls they may not know too welll? I dunno just my thinking. Thanks for the responses!

why don't you learn how to sign that instead of writing a note. she'd at the very least be flattered that you bothered to learn asl for her.

I think it would be creepy only if she doesn't know who you are at all. A good idea is to ask for her number and then maybe get to know her a little more through text. If your nervous to talk to her, don't worry, girls love when you act nervous, it lets them know you like them.
