its not femenine but stupid. it's a school essay. AIM language is not gramatically correct. So if that's how they want to write let them. Don't feel bad for them. Just know you're smarter than that :]

i dont think feminine when i think 'internet language'. but i guess that is kinda strange. You think that is feminine? I'm not entirely sure if you know what you are saying!

yeah, i kinda do.most guys don't use IM lingo in school... in fact, i only know girls that do! I feel REALLY bad for them...

This is not a gender thing, its an IQ thing. I'd understand any Dad who disowned a daughter who introduced her family to such an imbecile. We have the Language of Milton and Shakespeare. Text and net shorthand should proceed no further than rough notes when planning an essay.

If you mean language like "lol" or "w/e" than to me there seems like a few possibilities. Either they are just too lazy to write the whole word - which I couldn't blame them on a long essay, they think it's "cool" or funny, or they are just so used to it. I personally don't use that language at all except occasionally on text messages. When guys speak like that i can understand if you were embarrassed for them.
