Is the language deictic if the context is given, but not entirely?

Languages English is not the only language. It is a big world where other languages are only spoken.

Is the language deictic if the context is given, but not entirely?

I've been given a transcript and I'm not sure as to whether I should mention deictic expressions. The context is already given i.e. "two male friends are discussing relatives after a meal."

Also, the word "aunts" is already mentioned before they start using deictic terms to refer to them as "they" and "them" or "she". Would that still be deixis because we know what they referring to i.e. his aunts.
