| Who can help me with French marriage laws and PACS information, and carte de... ...sejour info? Ok so I came to France last year with no visa. In love and still in love. We wanted to PACS to help me to get my carte de sejour, so we did. We went to apply for my carte and they told us I have to wait a year in France with my name affiliated in France. So my name was on the EDF bill, and for the past 7 months Ive had my name on the Apartment we live in. Now just yesterday after waiting a year, after being PACS'd and waiting waiting without any legal papers to work they refuse me for my Carte de sejour because I didn't have a bank account or no official papers in France. We told the clerk at the prefecture that I couldnt open an account without having the carte. She said well people find ways to open an account. And we told her we couldnt without having ID, the CARTE, and that we wanted to abide the law. So she basically said no but she will send my file to be looked over and we will get an answer in 2 months. What can I do now? If they say no I have to leave the country. Can I marry?      |
