| anyone from puerto rico who speaks both native spanish and English?
I was speaking to one of my students from puerto rico in spanish yesterday and unfortunatley i did not know enough spanish to keep up. I spoke to a spanish teacher about the only word in the conversation that i missed and she said that it sounded to her like a curse word. However, she is from Mexico and that it could b different in Pierto Rico. So anyone that could help that would be great.
I dont know how to spell the word because im a kindergarden teacher and the conversation wasn't written just spoken.
to me it sounded like the girl said "pecha" the a on the end may have had an acent with it.
the conversation went something like this.
why is she not your friend?
becuase she is "pecha"
hope someone could help that would be great!
