| Why doesn't the language setting stay as it is (English UK) without changing to
English US in Microsoft 2000? Hello. I'm using Microsoft Word 2000 on my laptop. The pertinent problem is that I'd like to use UK English to write my articles. Whenever I set the language to UK English, it returns automatically to English US. I did it so so so many times, but this automatic change occurs...What the cause of this strange thing with word?

I believe that you have changed the language inside Microsoft Word, but you have Ms Windows set to the wrong keyboard layout (US English instead UK English). At the right low corner of the desktop (on the system bar) you have to see a blue square with the currently set language: if US appears, double click on it and select UK English; if this language is not available, go to Windows Control Panel > Keyboard > Language and choose to install further keyboard layouts (you might need to insert the windows installation cd to proceed). |
